Empowering Tomorrow’s Stars with Volleyball Icons
Client Intro
Natasa Krsmanovic and Tijana Malesevic, famous Serbian national volleyball team players, founded the Volleyball Sports Association “TEEN VOLLEY” (Serbian: TIN VOLEJ) in 2021. The main motive for founding the association is to popularize volleyball, sports, and a healthy lifestyle among children.
“We felt the need to transfer the knowledge and experience gained through many years of playing for the Serbian national team, foreign and domestic clubs, with the help of coaches and top experts in the field”, they said.
The primary goal is for children to learn basic and advanced volleyball techniques through play and training, to enjoy with their peers from other cities and clubs, and to spend their time at the camp as well as possible, progressing both – as players and as persons.
Problem / Goal
Natasa and Tijana asked us for help spreading awareness among parents and children about organizing the Summer Teen Volley Camp 2023 and assisting with developing a digital marketing strategy. It was necessary to explain intently what awaits them in the Teen Volley camp, who the coaches are, and how professionally each participant or child is approached.
We had to find the best way to present and bring the atmosphere in the camp closer to someone who has never visited or experienced anything similar. It was also necessary to fill 3 groups (each lasting exactly one week) with an optimal of 50 children.
Solution
Our activities, through which we aimed to expand brand awareness and initiate participant conversion for the camp, proved successful as we utilized the following means: active social media management, including creating a TikTok account, which they previously lacked.
Additionally, we updated website information, implemented a contact form, and engaged in paid advertising on Google, Facebook, and Instagram.
We decided to increase our presence on social networks by posting many more photos, reels, live sessions, and stories. Initially, we communicated everything camp attendees could expect during their chosen week: the number of sessions, trainers’ identities, types of sessions scheduled, social interactions, and networking opportunities with coaches and other kids. The next step involved an in-depth introduction to the trainers’ most triumphant career moments and accomplishments.
In the second phase, trainers and camp founders sent us videos to invite all the children to join one of the three groups for a series of one-week training sessions. Each group had the flexibility to choose their preferred training time slot.
All these actions were supported with paid advertising on social media platforms and Google. All activities and links directed them to the website, where they could sign up using the contact form. They could also gather more detailed information about their interests on the website.
Results
Considering the comprehensive advertising system and dynamic management of all Teen Volley accounts, the results were not lacking either.
Across our social media platforms, we observed positive growth in various metrics:
- The count of Instagram followers increased from 1800 before to 2145 after.
- Expecting 110 campers, we exceeded expectations with 157 campers enrolling.
- Our Facebook followers increased significantly, jumping from under 100 to 343.
- On TikTok, we saw remarkable progress, gaining from zero to 366 new followers.
- Several TikTok videos garnered over 10,000 views.
- We witnessed heightened engagement with our audience on stories.
- There was, too, a notable increase in inquiries received via Facebook.
However, our marketing team didn’t stop there. Even though the groups were already filled, we began live filming at the camp, sharing the impressions and atmosphere through TikTok, Instagram stories, and Facebook. An Instagram highlight was created for the entire campaign, CAMP 2023.
Finally, we’d like to tell something about the result that can’t be quantified – the happiness, love, and companionship that blossomed between campers and coaches. Everyone had a fantastic time, and we were happy to participate in promoting sports, health, and true values. We consider this to be the most significant outcome of the project.
